MAC CREMESHEEN GLASS "PAGODA" & "STAR QUALITY" - PRODUCT REVIEW

MAC released a new collection "A Fantasy of Flowers" which includes several Cremesheen Glass lip glosses.

THE PACKAGING
The sleek black top and rounded glass container is lovely packaging and it is lightweight, too.  The wand is standard and long enough to get product at the bottom of the tub.  The tip doesn't pick up a ton of product so if you're looking for a more saturated application you may have to dip in a few times.
SWATCHES
MAC describes "Pagoda" as a frosted cool pink.  This pink is a lovely color and would go great with cool skin tones.  To get the color as saturated as pictured below I did have to do about 3-4 applications to build the color up.  This can be either a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you want this color to perform.  If you're looking for a more opaque pink, this might not be the product for you.  That said, I love the small hints of pink glitter in this color which gives it the frosted element.  The glitter is not noticeable as chunks of glitter.

SWATCHES
MAC describes "Star Quality" as a bright orange coral.  This color I am so disappointed in when comparing the pictures on MAC's site to what the product actually is in person.  On the site they say it is orange coral but the picture is more of a hot pink color; the description is closer to the product in person.  I would describe this color as more of a red coral than an orange coral.  All that said, this is a lovely color when on.  It is one of those colors that can easily be worn by cool tones or warm toned complexions.  This color has a cream finish which looks hydrating and delicious.
THE PERFORMANCE
The texture of the cremesheens is standard to a lipgloss.  It isn't overly sticky but it is not as light wearing as a lip stick or lip balm.  The color will last you for hours but beware it does come off when you drink or eat.  :-)

THE CALCULATIONS
The cremesheen glass products they are currently listed at $20.00 each.  Depending on how many layers you apply per look this product could last you a while or you could go through it quickly.

THE VERDICT
The colors are cute and as a lover of coral colors I am totally digging "Star Quality," however if there is a similar color at a lower cost I probably would opt for a cheaper buy.
